Great care is strengthened by learning, collaboration and continuous improvement

Connected to a stronger care community

Good care does not develop in isolation. The Bridge is a member of five professional organisations that connect us locally, regionally and nationally — and each one strengthens our practice in a different way.

Being part of a wider care community means we learn from other providers, test our thinking against national standards, and bring current evidence back into the homes we run. It also means that our voice, and the experiences of the people we support, reach the places where decisions about the sector are made.

Two national bodies. Two local associations. And one national standard for rights-based practice.

  1. 1 Care England Our national link to the wider sector. Care England's policy work, research and white papers keep our practice aligned with national thinking.
  2. 2 ARC England Our national specialist network. ARC England represents providers supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, bringing sector-specific training, research and a collective voice.
  3. 3 Bradford Care Association Our local network. Shared learning with neighbouring providers, early sight of local changes, and a collective voice with health and care partners.
  4. 4 Kirklees and Calderdale Care Association Covering Kirklees and Calderdale. Keeps us connected to providers, councils and integrated care boards across a wider local footprint.
  5. 5 Restraint Reduction Network Our commitment to human rights. The RRN's national standards on reducing restrictive practice hold our approach to dignity, choice and positive support.
